That wonderful era of THE WALTZ
Speaking only for myself, having grown up in a family who was born
during this period, I learned every song listed here either at home, in
Sunday School or in Elementary School. These songs were what I would
call STILL POPULAR singing fare in homes who posessed a piano. My
Grandmother, who raised me, was the daughter of a Victorian mother.
These were still the days when morals and child-rearing were skills handed
down to the next generation of Mothers. My Grandmother taught me.
I taught my children. Thank God for Grandmothers.
